Successful Startups Awarded
17 Nov 2019Corporate Startup Day took place at Wyndham Levent
The most successful startups setting the trends in Turkish startup scene met once again, at this grand event. The Corporate & Startup Day we sponsored, organized in cooperation with TOBB GGK, Endeavor, Özyeğin University, and Bizz Consulting saw the most successful startup recognized and awarded for their achievements. Mehmet Fatih Kaçar, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey, Emre Kurttepeli, the President of Endeavor Turkey, İhsan Elgin, the Founder of, Core Strategy, Mustafa Sandal, the founder of Fikiron, Fethi Kamışlı, the CEO of Esas Venture, Sezgin Baran Korkmaz, the President of SBK Holding, and Prof. Esra Gençtürk, the President of Özyeğin University addressed the event where startup-friendly companies were also awarded.
Speaking at the event, Emin Taylan, the Chairman of our Executive Committee, underlined the importance of startup firms for the economy and noted ‘Grant Thornton Turkey is proud to support the startups as well as the venture capital firms investing in them, on every occasion they may need.’
Three special awards:
Startup 100 list: The list was compiled through a survey among 70 leading business persons leading the startup ecosystem.
Startup friendly companies: The companies were named based on input from the firms in the Startup 100 list, as well as other leading startups.
Corporate Entrepreneurship Awards: Offered in two categories, namely Most Effective Organization - New Enterprise Cooperation and the Most Successful In-House Enterprise, the awards were extended with the contributions of the In-House Entrepreneurship Platform
